BATTERYCYCLE pilot program update
Wednesday, 26 August 2009

Over 11,000 Grade 4 to Grade 8 students at 60 Ottawa schools collected more than 19,000 pounds (which is more than 270,000 batteries) in just over one month. Congratulations to all the students for this terrific achievement! Locally, students from Farley Mowat Public School and Adrienne Clarkson Elementary School participated in this program. I was very excited to see our schools participating and hope that the program continues this school year. For more information on this program, visit www.batterycycle.ca.
