St. Francis Xavier Bottle Drive this Saturday! |

Saturday, February 13th, students from St. Francis Xavier will be collecting bottles in Riverside South as a fundraiser for their team to travel to Windsor for the all Ontario AA Finals. I congratulate these young men on becoming the City Champions and wish them well in their tournament.
If you are able to assist them with their bottle drive, they will appreciate any and all donations.

Expansion in the works for Rideauview Community Centre in Riverside South |

I am pleased to announce that the City of Ottawa will add 1650 square feet of new community space to the popular Rideauview Community Centre.
The community centre is an important hub and this $800,000 expansion will permit a greater range of youth and seniors programming.

Cooperative Seating - Its Your Move! |

Ottawa – Young people and seniors gathered today at the Nepean Sportsplex to help launch a new public awareness campaign created for transit riders, entitled "Cooperative Seating – It’s Your Move."
OC Transpo buses are crowded during peak times and with record ridership growth, it’s not easy for all people to find a seat when they ride the bus. This presents a real challenge for some riders who simply cannot stand on a moving vehicle for any length of time.
