OTTAWA — City council has approved its share of the $48-million Strandherd-Armstrong bridge and construction is expected to start in the spring.
Gloucester-South Nepean Councillor Steve Desroches and Barrhaven Councillor Jan Harder said the City of Ottawa is finishing the bridge design and plans to start the tender process.

Ottawa, January 29, 2010 - Councillor Steve Desroches is pleased to report that City Council has approved the City’s one-third share of the Strandherd-Armstrong Bridge.
The City is completing the design of the bridge and is planning to begin the tender process with construction scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2010.
