Strandherd-Armstrong Bridge Update
With just a bit of paperwork left to complete, the City of Ottawa is preparing to announce the winner of the bridge construction tender and start the construction of the Strandherd Armstrong Bridge. As you may know, construction for the highly anticipated bridge across the Rideau River is to begin in the coming weeks with completion expected by 2012. This has been an important project for me and I am pleased to see that construction will be underway shortly. Work also continues along Strandherd Drive and Earl Armstrong Road to provide the eastern and western connections for the bridge.
