Completion of Earl Armstrong Road Widening
Deputy Mayor Steve Desroches was pleased to be joined by Mayor Jim Watson, Nepean-Carleton M.P. Pierre Poilievre and Marcel Moncion to celebrate the completion of the $35 Million Earl Armstrong Road Widening Project from Limebank Road to River Road.
These significant investments were critical to accommodate the current and future growth in South Ottawa. The road widening project was also an important piece to the construction of the Strandherd-Armstrong Bridge, as Earl Armstrong Road is the main roadway connection on the east side of the new bridge.
The project was cost-shared equally by the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario and the City of Ottawa, under the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund.
