Ottawa Tourism focusses on improved promotion to China

Ottawa Tourism focusses on improved promotion to China

Mme. YIN Guomei, wife of  Ambassador Zhang of the Chinese Embassy and senior executive of China International Travel Service (CITS),  along with her colleagues were at City Hall this past week to meet with Mayor Jim Watson, Deputy Mayor Steve Desroches and senior tourism executives and senior officials of the City.  The focus of the discussions were how Ottawa can do better to attract and serve Chinese Approved Destination Status (ADS) tourists.  This meeting provided Ottawa tourism executives with a better understanding of the expectations and perspectives of Chinese tourists and tourism administrators.

Mme. YIN was instrumental in helping Australia improve their service infrastructure for Chinese tourists when Australia was granted ADS more than 10 years ago.
