As you may know, Limebank Road is a priority for me. I am pleased to see that traffic is moving through the new Limebank Road intersection, and that the $10 million City project to widen Riverside Drive between Limebank Road and Hunt Club Road has been completed ahead of schedule. Work is continuing on the $22 million Limebank Road widening project between Balmoral Road and Spratt Road. You should note that traffic will be diverted to the new stretch of road in late 2009. The remaining roadwork is expected to be completed by the Fall of 2010.

All transit routes will be in operation as of Monday, March 16th, which is three weeks ahead of schedule! Gradually more routes have been added up to this point in March with the remaining routes being activated on March 16th. However, we will be operating at 90% capacity - please check your route's schedule to confirm times.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2009 the amendments to 40 Barnstone Drive will be discussed at the City of Ottawa Planning and Environment Committee. The developer intends to build 160 "aprtment flat" condominium units.

 Residents may have noticed that construction is also underway on the recreational field house in Claudette Cain Park. The 1,100 square foot structure will contain washrooms, a small multipurpose room and well as a small canteen. The structure will be available for community use as well as storage for outdoor rink supplies, tables and chairs. The building will be a welcome addition to the park and will complement the planned play equipment, enhanced fields and summer splash pad. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
