I am having an Earth Day Poster Contest in partnership with our local schools. The winning poster will be put on my website and submitted to the local papers. The topic is anything that has to do with the environment, so use your imagination.

Councillor Desroches is pleased to help forge a partnership between the City of Ottawa, Earth Day Canada, and Sunoco and the Suncor Energy Foundation to plant 10,000 trees in Riverside South on our Earth Day event on May 2nd, 2009. Our trees help improve air quality and help prevent global warming by removing and storing carbon dioxide.
