New roving clinic schedule starts Monday, December 14 |

Saturday is the final day for Ottawa Public Health’s seven fixed mass H1N1 vaccination clinics. All flu-shot clinics will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 13, and a new schedule of one-day roving flu shot clinics starts on Monday, Dec. 14.
The newly announced roving clinics schedule will be in operation from Dec. 14 to Dec. 22, and will provide residents continued access to both the H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines. Both vaccines are also available at many local doctors’ offices, community health care centres, university campuses and some workplaces.
Wristbands are no longer a requirement for the vaccination clinics. All flu-shot clinics will be accepting residents on a walk-in basis.
While the activity of the H1N1 flu virus has decreased in Ottawa, the virus remains unpredictable and will be in the community in the foreseeable future. Residents are encouraged to get both their H1N1 and seasonal flu shots for the best protection from the flu this year.
