Prince of Wales Drive Left Turn onto Maple Hill Drive |

I am pleased to report that the drawings and plans to separate the left turn lane for Maple Hill Drive (off Prince of Wales Drive) from the left turn lane for Rideau Valley Drive are now complete.
Once weather permits, pavement marking will be installed to separate the left turn lanes for these two streets in order to reduce the possibility of a rear-end collision.
In addition, city staff will have a total of four new signs installed on Prince of Wales Drive for the southbound traffic, indicating that Maple Hill Drive is the first left, followed by the intersection of Rideau Valley Drive and Jockvale Road.
 These signs are currently being manufactured and will be installed once completed and weather permits. The first new sign will be posted prior to the car dealership, followed by the remaining 3 signs.
If you are driving in this area and are heading south to Manotick, please do not pull into the left lane until you are past Maple Hill Drive.
