On Tuesday, June 15 the City of Ottawa will be hosting an Open House at the Walter Baker Sports Centre in Room 202 for the Longfields Drive extension to Jockvale Road, including the new Jockvale Bridge.

It was my honour to participate in the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Carleton Lodge Long Term Care Faciity on Monday, May 17th.  The residents, guests, volunteers and staff all enjoyed themselves tremendously.

50th_8.jpgIn addition to City Council proclaiming May 17, 2010 Carleton Lodge Day in the City of Ottawa, Councillor Harder and I presented the Lodge with a commemorative plaque to honour the day.

It was my honour to assist in the presentation of the awards at the 2010 Young at Art Awards Ceremony on May 12th at Ben Franklin Place.  It was amazing to see the depth and creativity shown in the artwork on display by these talented youth.   I was proud to see that Barrhaven was well represented at this year's awards with sixteen out of twenty seven awards.
