Would like to provide residents with an update of the on-going construction of the Strandherd-Armstrong Bridge. As you may have noticed, significant progress has been made on the construction of the bridge both on-site and off-site. Some of the immediate work-in-progress includes completion of the bridge launching system, which will be used to slide the bridge into place once assembled. Assembly of the bridge floor (painted white) is on-going; fabrication of the remaining floor deck and arches continues in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. A few of the arch components have arrived on site and are currently being assembled; the remaining arch segments are currently being fabricated and are expected to arrive shortly.
